The natural terrace on the Langhe of Barbaresco

Rusel is the place where theory becomes practical, where wine and its characters take on concreteness. Among the narrow curves of the Langhe, in one of the most traced territories in the world of wine, our cellar opens its doors to everyone - enthusiasts, connoisseurs and beginners.

Great is the fortune of he who possesses a good bottle, a good book, and a good friend
— Molière

The area of Barbaresco

The hills of Barbaresco, although less known than those not far of Barolo, are characterized by a unique geological conformation that is just perfect for wine production.

Here the steep slopes, poor of sediment, translate into complex wines with an impressive longevity, and force the choice of a purely manual work. From our panoramic terrace the features of these precious vineyards will be evident, alternating with the hazel groves of the northern slopes.

A new form of winery visit

To prepare you for a conscious tasting

Visiting us does not just mean knowing the wines we produce and the techniques we apply in the cellar. From the beginning of the tour until the last taste we guide you on a path that allows you to become familiar with all the nuances of this territory and understand the reason for its international fame. Starting from an introduction to the history of our hills, continuing with a journey into the world of the cellar, until ending with a guided tasting, we offer you an experience that is instructive and convivial at the same time.

The complete visit includes the tasting of 7 wines, combined with seasonal and strictly traditional cold dishes: we will start from white, continuing with Dolcetto, Barbera and Nebbiolo, to arrive at a comparison between Barbaresco and Barolo that will allow us to distinguish the differences. The tasting ends with our Moscato served with traditional hazelnut sweets.

The wines

Each of the labels we produce represents the ideals of Rosselli men, who have always put the well-being of the vineyard first. A healthy plant, grown on a vigorous land, is the basis for the production of excellent wines.

To ensure that the quality of our fruits transpires, we produce wines that enhance the typicality rather than the ease of drinking, leaving free expression to the distinctive features of each grape variety. To date, the labels we produce include Langhe Arneis, Langhe Chardonnay, Barbera d’Alba, Dolcetto d’Alba DOC, Langhe Nebbiolo DOC and Moscato d’Asti DOCG, as well as the Barbaresco of the Produttori cooperative.

Produttori del Barbaresco

Produttori del Barbaresco is a reality to which our family has been linked since the beginning: it was my grandfather to join in the distant 1960, just two years after the foundation, while my father was elected president for three consecutive terms, between the 90s and 2000s.

We still dedicate the entire production of Barbaresco grapes to the cooperative – which make up about half of the harvest. The company has 54 members, each of whom has the same say: every decision is made in the community during the assemblies, in which everyone actively participates. In short, Produttori del Barbaresco for us is in all respects an additional part of our cellar, a project that we feel a bit ours, which we support and will continue to support in the future.

The showroom

Since 2012, adjacent to the cellar, we have opened a room where you can taste and buy our wines and various typical products of the Langhe such as hazelnuts, grappas, honey, typical specialties in jars, truffles, organic flours and much more.

The showroom is the perfect place to implement our idea of visiting the cellar, which starts right from this panoramic terrace, with the entirety of Barbaresco in front of your eyes.

What they say about us

Sicuramente ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo.

Visita assolutamente consigliata.
